Country music?
Been sitting here with the wife and mother in law , watching the CMA feast. I?ve an hour into it and I have yet to hear what I consider a country song . I know I am an old fart and not the demographic they cater to , but this crap is ridiculous

The new, mainstream stuff is what I like to call "hick hop". It's more pop and c-rap than country. There's some decent new country music out there, but it doesn't seem to get near the airtime it should. 0 -
You think it was bad before, just wait to see all this new rap country music that will come out now that we have to hear about the old town road. That song will change country music, and again for the worst. 0 -

In an extremely high voice....like someone parked the piano on my foot....
"Wellll...I spilt my Frappe on my new blue jeans,
And nearly wrecked my new 4-by truck,
When I drove it into the creek,
I love watching you sweat when,
You roast a duck..."
My wife hates it when I sing New Country.

Times change, tastes change, old farts don't. Make mine Ray Price, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb. Can't keep them down on the farm when you can't hardly make a living farming less than a million acres. 0 -
I watched about 10 minutes of that crap last night. Good God. 0 -
Yep todays "Country" music is like today other music, it pretty much sucks all around.
You know you are an old fart when the popular music of the times sounds like cRap

You won't hear Stu's songs on the radio, or see him on the CMA's.

Agree. Just glad I have 2 oldies country stations here that I can listen to while driving. When country music became a "business", it was taken over by a bunch of yankees in 3-piece suits. :x 0 -

Haven?t listened to Country Music on the radio since the ?90?s. If I do listen these days it?s via iHeartRadio or Amazon Prime and it?s stuff from the ?90?s and earlier. 0 -
CW no longer exists. Most of the genuine CW artists are gone. He Dog named some of them. CW started circling the drain 30 years ago.
Others are:
Haggard
Tillis
Don Williams
Robbins
Wills
Jones
Wynette
Hank Williams
Buck
Chet
Jerry Reed
List goes on0 -
Don?t know how to post video links . Google or YouTube ? The Malpass Brothers ? Not only are they my neighbors but darn fine singers . They toured with Merle Haggard for several years 0 -
