Tinnitus ?
Is there anything you can do to change the pitch?
I have had tinnitus for about 9 years and sometimes i get a pitch that bothers me really bad and that is where i am at now.
Any ideas?

Lots of things make tinnitus worse: alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, aspirin, nuts, salt, more loud noise...
But nothing lessens it, despite the claims of miracle stuff on the internet. You can mask it - a little - at bedtime with a white-noise generator, a fan, or something else that produces a low, neutral sound. Or get hearing aids that amplify and overcome the frequencies you can no longer hear. (I'm wearing some from the VA for just that reason.)
But it's likely a permanent condition you'll just have to learn to live with.0 -

Mine sounds just like cicadas. Warbling pitch and everything.
Sometimes seems louder than others.0 -
I know something that'll change the pitch but it's not for the better. Try extending your lower jaw out where your lower teeth stick out further than your upper teeth. That'll make it about 2 octaves higher. 0 -
screaming 3 octave 24-7-365.....lifetime of shooting and machinery....don't like it when some warbling sets in.....just try to ignore it but it cuts my hearing down and has ruined listening to music.....nothing one can do .....if the preachers are right about an afterlife i hope it is without this chit 0 -
The only time it changes is when it gets louder. 0 -
I kept shooting and flying for 55+ years. Its nice and quiet now. 0 -

Yes, try to mask it.0 -
I have to have both hearing aids in to drown out the noise.
It can be real loud at times. Hot spicy food makes it louder.

I called the Tinnitus Hot-line, but nobody answered.
It just kept ringing and ringing...?.0 -
Blood pressure makes a difference. When I am healthier my tinnitus is not as bad. 0 -

they were to busy trying to figure out what to do with all the bells and whistles..........0 -
I've had it since I was around nine years old. It's always been the same pitch. If my surroundings are quiet it drives me up the wall. I always have to have a TV, radio, or white noise machine on in the background. 0 -
I have tinnitus. However, since I?ve gotten my hearing aids I rarely hear it. The hearing aids may not have cured it, but it feels like it. Could all be in my mind. But it no longer bothers me. 0 -
I tried a couple of different high end hearing aids for a week each. Made no difference what ever to the tinnitus, and not much that I could discern in my hearing loss. Saw no point in spending $5K. Maybe some day. 0 -

Always best to see a specialist.
Teeth hurt, go to a dentist.
Can't see, to go an eye doctor
For tinnitus, it's in the ears so see an audiologist.
Hearing aids often can eliminate or reduce tinnitus.
