My 4 year old son is going to get me in trouble

Conversation I had with my wife today. Mind you I am 6 hours away. She had this with my 4 year old

Wife: Cooper you haven?t had a shirt on all day, why?

Cooper: I couldn?t reach them they are all hanging in my closet.

Wife: Very true. I guess you are right. Why is it ok for boys to not ware are shirt but girls have too?

Cooper. Boys can do what they want. Girls do what the are told.


Some how I get the blame for his thinking.

    remember the old show kids will say the darn-nest things

    reminds me of my two sons
    one told me once when I ask him to check on his little brother "you had him you take care of him " :o
    from my youngest I gave him a piece of candy he unwraped it tossed the wrapper in the middle of the floor as he was walking
    I shouted WTH his reply don't worry dad, mom will get that ??? :shock: :shock: needless to say we had a talk about that one

    was once out working in the garage and smashed my ring finger on the tractor. it swelled almost double in about 5 minutes I yelled for my son who was about 6-7 to come help me put the side cutters on wedding ring and cut it off, one of those positions it just took 3 hands to hold down the swelling and squeeze the pliers. First thing I told him was don't tell your mom... little guy ratted me out before she even made it in the house

    I picked up my then 5 year old grandson from school one day. I could tell he was more reticent than usual.
    I asked him what was up and he said:
    ?I just don?t talk to nobody that be?s mean to me?.
    I?ve found that to be a pretty good philosophy.
