VA Disability
It's been a while since I have been here, mainly because I have been nursing a recent ankle fusion surgery.
The surgery was preformed under the VA's Veteran's Choice program that the POTUS signed into effect last summer.
It allowed the surgery to be performed by a civilian doctor outside of the VA system.
It's been a hassle trying to get back to where I can use the ankle like before. But, one good thing that has come from this is I just got informed by the VA that my total VA disability has been increased from 50% to 80%.
Now I'm just waiting for their approval of a pain pump device to be surgical installed under my skin in my lower back to help control the pain.

They have been pushing me for 5 years to get an ankle fusion.. I keep telling them I refuse until the point I just cant walk anymore.. 0
