With all the people dying to be offended these days, I think he's correct.
What I can't understand is why these companies try so hard to offend the majority in favor
of these small vocal groups of malcontents.
To the point that companies alienate their core to pacify a small group who wasn't
going to buy the product in the first place.
Good for Gillette. I hope soon they're all working at Taco Bell with the idiots from Nike.

Actions just like elections have consequences. A certain portion of our population never think things through before they act. When it turns around and bites them in the butt they blame the results on somebody else. He's happy he made his stance and lost customers. I'm happy that I can buy another brand and don't have to bother with Gillette. He's happy - win for him. I'm happy going to another companies product - win for me. Proctor and Gamble stockholders are the only ones not happy and will soon demand he share their pain. Wonder if he will still be happy? Bob

I think a short on them is a good call even without the 6B write down they are at peak and the cycle is getting ready to change direction. I missed the boat Thursday and Friday actually working instead of paying attention and placing an order on another holding. Maybe Monday

Pissing off and insulting the US WASP population is working well for Dick's Sporting Goods! (NOT)

I gave up on Gilllette nearly 30 years ago after having a vasectomy. Dr. Gillette who performed my surgery was very good at his trade but his name recognition after all these years left a bad taste in my groin!

The CEO should be fired. What a stupid/PC thing to say; "it was worth loosing 8 Billion to show the world we are douche nozzles".

Sadly, the heads of many national companies fail to comprehend the value of not pissing off a portion of their customers.

If you notice, very few business establishments openly endorse a Presidential Candidate. Same as you seldom see (at least around here) any business establishment allowing a political sign for a local/state/national politician on their premises.

It's only good, common sense and smart business sense.

    :D
