went to my sons wedding saturday, also his birthday, but that was his choosing. anyway after they had big reception at in-laws property, food, games, volleyball, cornhole, ect, had horseshoe pit, I haven't thrown horseshoes for years, used to be pretty good, while everyone else was busy I went over and started throwing for practice. pretty soon a few of younger guys, in twenties came over to watch, talked them into throwing a few, ended up playing for a couple hours till sun got to where the shade disapeared and it got to hot to stand there anymore, left a little early and took the granddaughter back to the motel she wanted to swim, well she talked grampa into playing in the pool with her, long story short we ended up after a few hours seeing who could make a bigger splash while jumping in, you can guess who won that..... well yesterday when I woke up I couldn't hardly walk, all the bending while playing horshoes and the cannonballs at the pool took there toll, still sore today but I can get up and down and walk somewhat straight, not sure beating those guys at horseshoes was worth two days of stiffness/soreness, but the smiles on granddaughter face sure were..........

    used to take aleve, and the generics of it, but Dr. told me not to do it anymore because of heart condition and the medications I take for it, only thing I can take is tylenol/generic of. something to do with aleve messing with the time release on my regular meds??,, only thing is tylenol doesn't help near as much

    As you gentleman are aware I suffer from intractable chronic persistent acute pain - a permanent side effect of treatment...

    In addition to strong regular scrip pain killers and time release pain killers I also take a 500 mg naproxen once a day as needed...

    This powerful anti inflammatory relieves swelling and inflammation and as a side effect relieves the cause of or a contributing factor to my pain.

    Pain management specialist docs confirm no interference with the other pain meds.

    The naproxen is a wonder drug for me as I am allergic to many pain meds and I don't metabolize the main ingredient in many pain meds rendering them ineffective.

    IMHO.

    I wish I could take anti-inflammatory drugs but I can't because I take Eliquis which is a blood thinner. Back a few months ago a doctor gave me a prescription for Diclofenac and all my joint pain went away. It was great while it lasted.

    I had asked the doctor if this medication was compatible with my other drugs and she said "yes". I got to thinking about it and did a little research myself and found that your not supposed to take any anti-inflammatory drugs with blood thinners because it can cause internal bleeding.

    Now I'm back to my regular old aches and pains. To bad they don't make some type of anti-inflammatory drug that's compatible with blood thinners.

    was told acetaminophen was the only otc pain med that did not act as a blood thinner.....???
