    Hey Todd, good to hear from you Brother.

    Sorry, I am an Army Vet, Son of an ABN CSM 32 year lifer. ( WWII, Korea, Vietnam.)

    I believe in being prepared.

    As said, I will not be killed due to a lack of firing back.

    The above, do not factor in whatever carry piece I have on me that day.

    Carry piece is usually a Kel-Tec P11 9mm. or more than likely a S&W 642 Airweight in .38 Special. Pretty partial to my Taurus Slim 740 .40 cal. as well. Ergonomics are perfect.


    Oh so many choices.

    I am the same way. All my vehicles have a go away bag with supplies and ammo and I am always armed.


    Ken I am not knocking on you but I doubt your Dad would like to called a lifer.

    I-Inefficient
    F-Fu*ker
    E-Expecting
    R-Retirement

    I prefer being called a Professional Soldier(I only did 25 though)

    It's kind of like the Sarge thing or being called Top, Maybe its ok for Cooks and Mechanics but for a Infantryman especially a Ranger or a Airborne its a nono. If one of my guys had called me Top or Sarge he would have been beating his face till I got tired ;)

    Never heard that Sam06.

    My Dad, and I both - were/are Proud, to refer to him as a Lifer.

    He was the quintessential Professional Soldier.

    Reminds me of the SGM in "We Were Soldiers." That was my Dad.

    If it does not show, I am EXTREMELY Proud of my Dad. A true BA. Miss you Dad, every day.
