Squid season started really late this year
Last night I saw about 20 squid boats real close to shore by Seaside High School on my way to work. Typically June or July they're out in the bay but this year last night was the first time I saw them. Looking forward to having me some squid sashimi, pan fried squid legs (they'll be like popcorn shrimp) and boiled whole squid. I may or may not cut out the ink depending on their size. That goes double for popping their eyes. They'll be boiled in salted water dipped in soy and wasabi like sashimi or Kewpie Mayo. Pull the pen as I eat them and spit out the eyes like watermelon seeds.
I wonder if they'll be big or small? Being a late start and all.

When they come in close like that, you can catch them off the wharf with crappie jigs, fill a 5gal bucket in an hour. Tempura batter, and deep fried! 0 -
You're not going to eat that EYE boy? Almost a quote from Kevin Costner in "Water World"

Squid make great bait for Tuna and Swordfish.
Put them live on a #8 hook offshore and have some fun.0
