So I goes to Costco with the wifey....

Walking around and a bag of the dried pitted sunsweet prunes caught my eye. You know what happens to a guy the next day after eating about half the bag????? Whoa nelly...

    Was that the large economy sized bag? I shudder to think of the results but I bet it turned you into a "regular" guy. :lol: Bob

    I really like prunes and prune juice, but they produce little effect for me. Fresh cherries? Hoo boy! Regularity City. This is the time of year when I eat a dozen of those big dark sweet cherries every day, and the next morning is always an experience.

    Yep, the big bag. Grabbed an ice tea and started munching on the way home... Sure are good though. I agree Rocky, cherries get me too. Broccoli and cauliflower don't bother me at all though.

    Prunes - nothing...

    Cherries - I love em and can eat them all day long.

    But!

    Garlic gives me inexcusable gas...

    And - I can?t eat raw jalape?os too far from the house. The gurgling starts even before the taste goes away...

    Actually, the Sunsweet prunes from Costco are a great bargain.

    I take about 1/3 of the bag, stew them on the stove top, then refrigerate. I eat 5-6 for dessert every night; they taste almost as good as the ice cream I can no longer digest. And, the next morning, I enjoy the results.

    As we age, our definition of "simple pleasures" changes; get used to it.

    On a vaguely related note. If you take a laxative and it doesn't seem to be working quick enough, DON'T TAKE ANOTHER DOSE right away.
