recent acquisitions
Friday I won a Springfield RO Elite 10mm on the auction side...doing my part to maintain the forums!! two minutes left and I had a screaming deal then another bidder ran it up $70 to with in a dollar of my bid and I ended up winning it...still a good deal...I might have saved $5 if I had bought it on GraAGun...but pleased nonetheless...I've bought from this mega seller before Sportsman Outdoors...got another great deal through them...plus they have low shipping, no credit card up charge and last time my purchase was at my FFL in two days.
Then yesterday i trade into a HK USP .40 compact. It' s an older pistol, has some slide wear, and I think it's a police trade in but the seller denies it...took it home and immediately shot it. I've owned alot of .40s over the years...Glock 22s, 23s, 27s, 35s, Beretta 96s, and Sig 229s. .40s can be a little snappy, especially a Glock 23 and this HK is the smoothest .40 I have ever shot, it handles like a 9mm, I am super impressed. I was so impressed I went back in the house and got more ammo and shot twice as much as i intended. I traded a Sub 2K in 9mm for it and I definitely was on the plus side of the trade, value wise and use wise...I even walked away with three mags and three holsters, he included a forth, a nice leather shoulder holster but I gave it back to him(already felt like the deal was more than fair), so I know I was ahead value wise. I have an AR9 that I much prefer to the Sub 2k so I had little use for it.

regarding the Glock 23, do you think the Gen4 is less snappy than the Gen3? with that dual recoil spring setup 0 -
