Hacksaw Ridge
Just received several DVD's in the mail, ordered using Amazon Prime. Not having to pay for cable TV ever since installing an antenna a couple of years ago, leaves room in my entertainment budget for a few luxuries. Every couple of months I enjoy surfing through Amazon's movie & TV listings along with picking my memories for what I would like to add to my video library.
Last night I really enjoyed watching "Hacksaw Ridge"! If you haven't yet seen this movie, I highly recommend it!
For some strange reason I must have been really missing my childhood over the weekend. I placed orders for copies of the complete original cartoon series; "Jonny Quest" and "Lost in Space"
. Those along with a few multi movie discs of 1950's sci-fi fliks that I remember seeing back in the days.
My wife thinks I've gone nuts or something, but I did remember to include a couple of "chick fliks" that seemed to get her off my case! 8-) At least for the time being anyway!

I have seen the movie Hacksaw Ridge several times.
Also, saw an interview with Desmond Doss, the medic who is featured in the semi documentary show.
Amazing :!:0 -
that was a great movie 0 -
I see little point in building a video library of discs that will deteriorate over time, when it is so easy to download whatever you car to watch. Not that I don't have a few myself.

My limited satellite internet does not allow me to stream movies. I would have to pay 170 bucks a month to get the needed bytes to do so.
Having "hard copies" of favorite movies and old TV shows works fine for me. Pretty sure at my age and health, I will certainly not outlast any of my discs.0 -
OK :
Is that like 'heartbreak ridge' ??? with Clint Eastwood ???
And I too have some Jonny Quest dvd's ::: Great flash-back from my much younger days !!!
Thanks !!!0 -
Hacksaw Ridge came as close to triggering a PTSD attack as anything I've seen. 0 -
