lotta babies.........
just got done mowing the yard and doing so knocked few apples off of small tree in yard, came in took shower as it is still close to 90 outside. just looked out the window and saw a big doe and 4 small fawns still have spots picking around under the apple tree, have seen twins and even triplets but this is the first time I have ever seen 4. watched for about 5 minutes or more never saw another doe so I would have to guess they are all hers...........

Might not have all been hers, second doe out of sight or killed. But then again seems like a bumper crop year around here for critter food. Animals seem to know these things. More food equals more offspring. Bears have been seen with 3 and 4 cubs. May be BS but I have been told that sow bears can control how many cubs they have and food source can help determine that. We have an over abundance of deer and am seeing 5 to 6 different bears a week around here. Live near a bear refuge and nearby towns and resorts forbid "legal" hunting. You think deer are destructive, you ought to see what an over population of bear can do. Had a neighbor that had a few acres of corn, went to harvest it and all that was left was a ring of standing corn around the patch. Bears had moved in and either eaten or destroyed what was left. Neighbors had counted as many as thirteen bears coming and going for "dinner". corn field was about 1 miles from the protected town limits.
