One reason health care is so expensive...

My dr changed my meds. I?ve got several months old Micardis (blood pressure) meds, unopened and unexpired that I can no longer take.

My only option is to destroy them. Can?t give or sell. Gotta destroy.

It would be great if I could drop them off at a local old folks home to serve the patients a few dollars.

And I know that with all the Bs going on nowadays with people sabotaging stuff that it?s safer not to take meds from someone...

But it?s just a shame to let hundreds of dollars of medicine literally go down the drain.

    I know and completely understand. I?m just saying that it?s too bad that we?ve digressed to this.

    Hundreds of dollars literally trashed.

    There isn't much you can do with them. I remember when my grandmother died she had several medications, including medications for her heart (which I assumed were expensive). I took the entire lot, even medications which were expired, to Bulgaria and gave it all to a doctor who was eager to accept them.

    No, do NOT flush medicine! Take unused meds to your pharmacy. They have proper disposal methods that do not involve polluting your waters.

    speaking of medicine, my wife went to Walmart yesterday to pick up her blood pressure medicine. she had only been paying $8. for a months supply. when she went to the counter the woman said that will be $88. my wife asked why such an increase. she was told they changed suppliers. my wife told her to keep it. the clerk said try "GOOD RX"
    my wife came home and did. there was no coupon for a reduced price. so she goes to Walmart web site and checks the price of her meds. her medicine was listed for $8.
    she calls Walmart and explains what she found and was told, "sorry someone made a mistake" so another trip to Walmart today to get her meds
    just wonder how many people actually paid the price

    Walmart pharmacies are ran by idiots. People that reputable pharmacies won't hire or have hired and fired.

    I take mine to a local Walgreen's that accepts expired/unused scrips for proper disposal. Our aquifers are becoming laced with hundreds of pharmaceuticals,...many of which can't be fully removed by filtration.

    bet a pharmacist here or there would simply resell them....younger local pharmico here in our small town lived in house on our family ground ..after he moved to Okla after getting caught using i searched the house top, bottom, side to side, in and out , all about and turned in enuff drugs to the local sheriff if sold on the street would have paid my farm debt back then...this guy hid in his family lakehouse in Okla for a few years and got his license back ?????
