In the five years I have been retired, my wife has kept me busy. I told her I was going back to work to get some rest.
    Enjoy your retirement!

I've been retired 10 years after almost 30 years on the only full time job I ever had and now have TWO part time jobs and still farm so I'm not really retired. What I DO have is some flexibility in what/when I work so I can be available for Grandkids activities.

Retired 12 years now. I was born to be retired, LOL!

Winter equals fat unless you find some way to exercise. I walk on my treadmill while watching closed captioned TV s couple days a week, and do tai chi on between days for flexibility. Not a gym rat, so that's out for me.

Summers are fishing and golf. Fishing involves pedaling my kayak, so that's exercise, too. Find your own hobbies. Garden, swim, pickleball, biking...

Congratulations on your new "career" as a retired person.

I retired in 2001 and haven't regretted it one tiny bit. Always something to do to keep one busy without going to a job where you have to be!!

Do enjoy every day as you know, many never reach retirement age and never have the opportunity to retire.

I've known many who retired, claim to be bored and go back to work until they fall over dead and never took the time to enjoy the fruits of their labors. That is sad indeed IMO.

    Congratulations!

I took a year off worked another 11 years and now I don't work all that much. I never have a boring day and I shoot almost as much as I did in the Army ;)

retired last january after 40 years, still wake up thinking I am late for work, just doesn't take as long to roll back over. enjoy don't get the whole honey due list done to soon, you will need something later on to do. every morning when the wife leaves for work she asks me what I am going to do I tell her, whatever I want, just get that look from her...........

    ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
