Black Coffee
I love it!! I'm getting ready to brew my third pot from my trusty desk mounted MR. Coffee. I am brewing Dunkin Dark Roast which is really good in my not so humble opinion. Went by the nearest dunkin this afternoon to pick up another pound and the young lady told me it was $9.00 or three bags for $20.00. Well I have a working understanding of third grade mathematics and I used both hands and soon figured out that was around $6.666666/lbs. so I left with three pounds. Life is good. Well better get back to this Nazi 1922 FN postola.

Caffeine is love. Caffeine is life. 0 -
Yep, can no longer function unless I have 2 large cupfuls in the AM. 0 -
It's all day long for me, even in the summer
, warming up ones insides makes the outside feel cooler in this hot climate
....but many don't believe it.0 -
I always had a coffee pot going when I was in business, several years ago I sold the business to my son. He put in one of those 1 cup at a time coffee maker................damn, I don't want 1 cup, I wan a quart  0 -
Is it still PC to call coffee "black"? 0 -
It damn sure is here not that I ever cared much about pc except to try to offend those to whom such things are important. 0 -
Okay, I will say it.

Long as he doesn't mess with my coffee I don't care. Having a mug right now. 0 -
If you want real coffee switch to Folgers Black Silk .
Beats DD all to heck0 -
I just poured out a one pound container of Folgers Dark Roast or what was left after trying two pots of it. It was terrible. But I might give the Black Silk a try. Thank you. 0 -
My taste buds are coffee sensitive. They prefer Maxwell House Original roast. Brewed in a BUNN and Consumed BLACK.
Having all of the choices we have here in these United States is just one of the many things that make this country GREAT!0 -
Coffee ........ HOT and BLACK is the only way to enjoy coffee.
I don't get all those who junk it up with flavors, whipped cream, sugar, etc. and iced coffee is totally horrible.
Guess I'm just a simple person. I don't like good food junked up with crap. Like why would you put an egg on good tasting hamburger, or mushrooms on a super thick, tender juicy steak? Make no sense to me. :shock:0 -
have an aunt who is in her mid 80's makes a pot of coffee then puts it in the fridge and drinks it like iced tea, has for as long as I can remember............

I'm 100% in agreement with you

As am I.
Like most, I suppose, I started drinking coffee as a child, heavily laced with milk and sugar. But I grew up, and for the last half century or so, it's been just black. I do not drink "toy coffee" or "candy coffee" in any form. Certainly not any of that Starbucks crud that starts off horrible and gets worse with the addition of junk.
I will make an exception for a dessert cup of Irish Coffee, or some similarly booze-infused potion. But that's it.
(My recipe for "OMG Coffee Mix"... Mix equal parts of Creme de Cacao, Kahlua, Grand Marnier and brandy. Add 1 ounce of the mix to a regular 6-oz cup of black coffee. Guests will invariable take one sip and say, "OH. MY. GOD.")0 -

I agree 100%
I have recently found that my tastes have changed when it comes to several food items I have always eaten with certain condiments.
I find that a hamburger now tastes so much better with a good slab of cheddar on a grill toasted buttered bun than it did with all the added slop I used to put on it!!
I can actually taste the meat! 8-)0
