    Your example looks like a nice early production complete intact as designed piece...

    Late war time production pieces made during German occupation - post Warsaw uprising - show features deleted and machining shortcuts and lesser quality finish...

    Yours is not one of those.

    After the war ended it has been reported that production of post war - after Germany has been pushed out of Poland and defeated - that some guns were produced or assembled from a mix of existing parts stocks and newly manufactured frames and slides had phony waffenampts and German proof marks applied in an attempt to deceive or counterfeit to fool collectors...

    Yours is not one of these (IMHO).

    An often purported and retold story claims that after the Warsaw uprising polish workers assembling these pistols sabotaged some of the production run - in a manner that would cause failure in use but was concealed to pass inspection and acceptance...

    Yours is not one of those.

    I think that your example is well found and desirable to collectors - a better than average example IMHO...

    It's arguably a better design and better functioning pistol than the Luger or the 1911 - again that's my opinion and probably will anger some folks...

    As referenced as one of the primary causes of the Sepoy rebellion - British colonial troops of Indian descent mutinied after being told that the lubricant used in their British empire manufactured ammo was made from beef fat...

    A violation of cultural beliefs and religious doctrine - ie killing and eating cows...

    The most expedient method of loading the issued rifle involved placing certain components of the ammunition in your mouth to facilitate preparation prior to discharge by using your teeth to open / tear apart and hold some elements of the load...

    Apropos of nothing it has been rumored that a non stick spray made from pig fat and lobster entrails is used by Glock to facilitate easy removal of the tactical Tupperware frame from its manufacturing mold...

    Possibly making the Glock non kosher and non compliant with halal dietary restrictions...

    You may draw your own historical parallel conclusions based on this data.
