I bet "the view" at the college is better than the hospital though! :D

Good luck. I think job hunting is one of the more demeaning things does. It feels like groveling.

More and more I have relied using head-hunters (agencies) or online sites. There is one I really liked, and one that has proven to have given out info they were not supposed to. I'll have to see if I can figure out which ones they were if you are interested.

Having spent a lot of time in Hospitals with because of my Dad I would not want to work in one. I would much prefer a college. Being out in the open and I am sure the scenery is much better ;)

Are you armed or do you just have a radio and a rape whistle.

Every cop I know who has worked at a hospital did not like it. I know I would much prefer the university here to any of the hospitals. Good luck.

I could imagine the hospital would have some heated moments. Nothing sets a person off like medical or money.

I always try to avoid sick people. Especially strangers. Hospitals are full of them and are also crawling with sick people germs.

You're being moved to a college should actually be considered a great stroke of good luck IMHO!

I spent a lot of time working OT in hospital ER?s, Hopkins, etc, they were a literal war zone-think vehicles stopping briefly, dumping a shot up knuckleheads on the ramp and driving off/regular large gang related fights in the waiting areas etc. We also had one officer killed in the ER. The atmosphere sucked...but the nurses were great!!

14+ hour day? You might as well camp out in the parking lot. That way you save cash, gas and time. Unless you gotta feed critters.

I think a college would suck... Lots of entitled adults who don't act their age. Lots of responses to drunk and disorderly conduct, sexual assualts (even though many are not real) and the occasional mass shooting because it's a gun free zone.

Didn't they make a movie about a "Mall Cop"?? :o

I guess if they did, that would make your job kind of important! Hollywood has never made a movie about my lines of work over the years...?so now I'm jealous!
