Look What I Hauled in on Wednesday.......
Not for me, but for a fella I'm doing a little work for. His hole making capability is truly pathetic, and I told him I was going to quit if he did not remedy that. He left it up to me to find a drill, so I found this on the bay and went and dismantled, loaded, and hauled this home on Wed. Today we got it unloaded, reassembled, staged and wired up. She runs like a champ. 
7-1/2 HP, 48-940 RPM, 2-1/2 inch drilling capacity in steel
The fella we got it from said it weighs 4000 lbs, but I don't think it weighs that much.

Compare that to the 1/6hp Chinesium monster I have, that will bog down trying to drill humid air.....

many years ago I got a call from my brother ( RIP ) the place he worked at was getting rid of old machinery he was all excited he found me a drill press
so I went by and picked it up it was a monster used a forklift to load it . I would guess for the 30's or 40"s by its looks but it was 3 phase 440 or something like that I do not recall now but would have taken a lot of effort to make it user friendly for me
any way when we moved I left it in the pole barn back in the corner just where we had unloaded it . I never messed with it I know it had to weigh over 2000 pounds , that was 38 years ago it may still be there :shock:0 -
??? you can get a corded drill from Home Depot that does 1800 RPM, whaddya need that thing for?
