Sometimes Things Never Change
My hometown is Scotland Neck NC which is in Halifax county.
In the late 90s i reported a crime against me. 89 checks were written and cashed by my ex wife who signed my name and her name was not on the account it was just my name and the deputys kept losing the police report. If not for luck and 1 honest police lady who worked for the SN police department i would have gone to jail/prison.
I was arrested about 8 to 10 times for bad checks. My ex wife was on drugs and the deputys was using her to bust drug dealers so they kept throwing away the police report and im getting in more trouble with the district attorney. The deputys would not even have a conversation with the DA to let them know what was going on.
Anyway they were crooked when i lived in that town and county. A few weeks ago they had a big drug bust from the tri county drug task force. It was 3 counties, SBI and the US marshals.
They went into Scotland Neck and Halifax county and busted a lot of drug dealers without letting anybody in that juridisction know.
So to me that means they are still crooked.

Have you ever tried to get a permit to carry a gun? If that's still on your record you need not even try.0 -
I worked on a construction project in Scotland Neck NC back in the 70s.Had never seen as many deer and turkey as were in that area.Went fishing in one of the rivers,I cant recall which one and caught a load of big catfish.It was good farm country back then. 0
