Glock experts ejection question

For various reasons I decided I needed a Glock 9mm .never owned a Glock. I ended up with a gen 4 model 34 . It shoots and functions great EXCEPT the brass comes straight back . 2 handed stance it will hit you between the eyes almost every ejection. Repeated hot brass to the face will make you start to flinch , duck and dodge, is there an easy way to get it to eject more to the side instead of straight back ?

    Have not encountered such a situation when shooting a1st Gen Glock 17 in 9mm nor Gen 3 Glock 33 with 9mm/357Sig or .40 S&W barrel.

    There is something about some Glocks that does in fact create this issue. The extractor is probably not holding the fired case under tension against the breech face.

    Switch to another extractor & spring (spring will come with extractor) & buy another Ejector.

    If you choose- just contact Glock and I expect they will know what you?re talking about and be willing to make it right.

    I have never had this problem but I?ve heard of it.

    I have found that, at a certain 'power' level, all 3 of my 10mm Glocks will do that. Below that loading, down to .40 S&W levels, it doesn't, and at hot original full power Norma type loads it doesn't, but in the middle the brass whizzes by my head sometimes hitting me. I have found simply changing the recoil spring changes the recoil pulse enough to change that pattern (of what level a load would hit me). A 2 handed grip helps, but the above still holds true to a degree.

    you ejector probably says 336 on it. get a 30274 or better yet if you can get you hands on a 47021.

    (the ejector, not the extractor)

    LOL,,well since I got so much help in here I decided to Google it and it appears to be a common problem with the gen 4,, Supposedly Glock will not fix it but an $8 ejector will.. So much for my first Glock,,have to repair it to use it..

    Didn't mention if it was new or "new" to you.

    Spring is a good start.

    Extractor rounded out or needing cleaning? Maybe the spring holding that is broken?

    Also did they move the extractor from the usual spot? If so I understand why gangstas hold pistols side ways.

    Though I like Glocks fine (for the tools they are), I once said if "Glock Perfection" is really true, why are there now 5 generations?

    Semi-related: It is funny. To me at least. For my Glock 29 that I carry, I purposely stayed with earlier generation because I wanted the rounded bottom front instead of the rail. But, I wanted the rail on my G20 so I sold my 2nd generation which was incredibly accurate. I didn't care either way on the G40.
