Remington model 514 need date code info.

I have a pre 1968 Remington model 514 single shot bolt action 22 rifle. It is to old to have a serial number, but it has a date code of AXX on the left side of the barrel near the receiver. Any idea as the date it was made ? Thank's in advance.

    I believe I just found my answer. According to the chart I found, it was made in March 1951.

    For anyone looking for this info: https://www.remingtonsociety.org/manufacture-dates/

    If you have never looked for the barrel code letters- they are very small, about 1/3 of an inch forward of the receiver, left side of barrel. A magnifier and a BRIGHT light can be a big help.
