a few ammo mfrs are using this newly invented coating on their brass. CorBon, Browning (via Winchester), and Underwood. supposedly it's better than the usual nickel coating because it doesn't tarnish, chip, flake or peel.
so, why wouldn't anybody use that for a coating on steel frame pistols and revolvers? besides being awfully slippery but Nickel is anyway.
