when it rains it pours
Well, it seems that my wife cant buy a break. She had her scans (bone, MRI and CT) a couple weeks ago. Met with her oncologist yesterday (normal 3 week chemo, lab and Dr meet) and were told she has a growth in her left breast. That one did not have to be removed at the time of her original diagnosis about 6 years ago.
This growth is about 1.8cm. They did a biopsy (results on this coming monday) and the oncologist feels certain it is cancer based on Judys history.
The problem is that if it is a tumor it is probably a mutated form of the cancer she already has and thus is not responding to the chemo treatment. That is not good. They cant switch chemo's because her original cancer is far to aggressive and fast growing. That leaves radiation and another mastectomy as the only options.
If this is cancer and it has spread to other organs her prognosis just took a nosedive and it wasnt good before.
Judy was pretty drugged up yesterday when we got the news so I am not sure she fully understands especially with the brain tumors having already disrupted her cognitive functions.
If you would please keep her in your prayers. Our hopes of doing a little close range traveling are now on hold.
