The Farmers Dog -

Saw a Television add for "The Farmers Dog." (.com) Similar to FreshPet food but higher end and delivered.

Looked really good. Fresh, non-frozen food shipped ("Free") on a "Plan custom tailored to your dog." I logged onto their web site, answered a list of questions about my dog, his current diet, activity level etc. (Basically) A 3 year old active, American Pit Bull Terrier, in excellent shape.

Came back with a list of ingredients and 3 different recipes, one Pork based, one Turkey based and one Beef based. Lots of natural ingredients, high end "Human quality food ingredients." Looked good.

Until it came to the price. (Wait for it.) ..........................................................................................................

$70/week. "Only" $140 every two weeks. (!!) ("1/2 price for the first two weeks.) [$35/week]

Holy Bat Crap Batman. I should eat so well.

No wonder the "Shipping is Free."


(I can make some Seriously good dog food for about 1/4 - 1/3rd of that.) If that.
