I'll have to give that a try, I doubt the shot would kill the golf ball but it might deflect it. If fired early enough I see no reason someone couldn't hit a golf ball? Be careful who you bet against in trick shooting.
I made a lot of money at our gun club range betting that I could cut an ordinary business
card in half width wise at 50 feet with my Gold Cup .45. Guys said you can not even see the card width wise from 50 feet.
It's not as hard as many think....

Trick or exhibition shooters are fun to watch. I saw the late great Tom Knapp live doing his Benelli hand-thrown clay routine. Then there's the guy that can shoot two balloons with a revolver and the audio sounds like a single shot fired. I think it might have been Bob Mundon (sp). Or, Jerry Muciluk (sp) that can shoot 6 shots, reload, and 6 more in a couple of seconds (these are all from memory so look them up if anyone want to see the specifics)0 -

Yeap!! With .45 wadcutters you have almost 1 inch side to side leeway. And the card is almost 3 inch long.
Any decent pistol shooter can hit a rectangle that is 1" by 3" at 50 feet.0
