Photographing firearms
I have always photo'd my guns outside due to the better light but this comes with some restrictions as to time and location. The sun can't be direct so morning and evening is usually best. An overcast day is to be treasured. I have been using my back yard for the last few months but my office is 30 miles away so planning is crucial. I have been thinking about trying to work here at the office for some time and yesterday my lights arrived. I have set them up here and been playing around and so far I think it may work out. Gonna be a learning process like anything else, and you get out what you put in. I consider photos as important as the description when selling stuff and try hard to represent the actual gun properly. I'm asking folks who usually don't know me to send me money for a gun they can't touch based upon my promise that I will send them the gun they think they are buying. Aside from my feedback and description all they have is my pictures so I want to get them right.

You should try Open Shade for the location. That would be in the shade of a building with open sky above, there will be no shadows from the subject material. 0 -

IIRC I/we were in the middle of isolating/diagnosing the problem when you quit responding,,,,,,,,I offered to send you a magazine to eliminate a mag. problem,,,,,,

My 1911 problems do not appear to be magazine related. I've tried the issued Mec-Gar mags, Wilson Combat, Les Baer, etc. Ad nauseum. All with 230 ball. No Joy.
Yes, I have been tempted to/should have returned my 1911's to the Manufacturer. I have Never had to do so, for a from the factory, firearm. Disappointed, would be an understatement.
I have never/ever had to do that with any other firearm ever purchased.0 -

Seriously Ken, call the manufacturer and tell them the weapon has never worked correctly and ask them to send a return shipping label for repair(s). You could send it to me but the two way shipping cost would be outrageous. Who is the

It is an ATI Commander. It needs to go back to the manufacturer.
I have been so disheartened with it, that I have not even tried my ATI US GI issue (full size.) Bought to match, shortly afterward. I should try a few rounds through it, in order to see if the same thing transpires.

Irregardless is not a word. Regardless means without regard to. Irregardless means with regard too (it is essentially a double negative) You might try Disirregardless, a triple negative meaning without regard to, since you like the long way around.0 -
