I was probably down at the river drinking beer from a keg and smoking some left handed cigarettes

Then I went and necked with some girl in my 65 Merc marauder ;) I would bet when I brought her home her Dad was not happy

Our little town had a parade that morning that I participated in High school band . Then they had several baseball games for the afternoon and the beer garden. Later that evening the had a tractor pull which I was able to win my class with a Oliver88

I should ask. Do any of you remember what you were doing on July 4, 1976?

setting off fireworks. we were being a lot more careful because the previous year we set the field on fire and the fire department had to come put it out. I don't know how many acres that was, maybe 3 square blocks

I sat on the roof of a three story house in South St. Louis and watched the fireworks on the river front. Probably the largest such show I have ever seen.

Would have just came back down South to Miami, from Mtn. City, TN. (Went to Freshman year of H.S. in Johnson County, TN.) Ended up not moving there, for a couple years. Went there my Senior year.

My parents bought my Older Brother and I Motorcycles, in order to get to school, etc.

My Brother got a (Canadian model) OD green RD 400, I got an RD 250. (Should have stepped it up to a 350.)

Both got tricked out in the following years.

    My motorcycle mania followed.

I was 6 years old. I was probably impatiently waiting to head into town for the big fireworks display.
