Expensive old pocket watch
This old Antique McIntyre 18K Gold Pocket Watch went for $36,009.99 on e--bay yesterday. They only made about 8 pocket watches before they went out of business back in 1911. There only 3 or 4 more that's not accounted for. If you ever see one grab it. Scroll down on the page to see it.

That's probably the reason other bidders stayed away.

The bail for the chain is more of a chain part than a watch part.
Size. style, shape, would be the complaint to the chain used.0 -

You may have the technical knowledge......but I've never seen one made/connected specifically to a chain before, they've always been connected to the watch
I'd think most buyers would rather it compliment the watch and let the chain speak for itself.0
