2 camping trips in the books with the new camper!
We now have 2 camping trips and one weekend set-up, in the in-laws driveway in the books with our new camper. We are still learning the art of setting up and breaking down camp, but we have had an absolute blast so far. Truth be told, weather has been great both weekends we've camped so far. The only thing wrong with that is we haven't gotten a ton of camper learning time in the books yet.
I pulled the trailer at 66 on the interstate on this last trip and it did great. I got a whopping 10.1 mpg, but hey, that's expected. It's still taking me some getting used to judging how long my rig is with the trailer, so I have limited my lane changes so far. We also took the dog on this past trip and he did fantastic! He seems to really enjoy both being outdoors as often as possible and just chilling in the camper. He approves.
Anyways, here is a picture of our rig. The tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 1500 Bighorn(4x4, 3:21 rear gear) equipped with a Tekonsha Voyager electronic trailer brake, and an Equalizer weight distribution hitch. The trailer is a 2020 Cherokee Grey Wolf 26RR by Forest River.

Some people think the surge guard will protect their RV's from lightning. It won't! An average cloud-to-ground lightning bolt can have as much as a billion volts of electricity and there's no surge guard that's going to handle that kind of voltage. 0
