S&W is back ordered,,UPDATE
seeing the recall posted here,for the M&P 15-22, I ordered a inspection tool from S&W. Got an order confirmation showing the inspection tool free of charge. They said they will send a tracking number as soon as it ships. It still has not shipped. We own several Smiths and did not receive this recall notice or tool. However, others that don't own this gun have received the tool and notice. Pretty sure our gun is good to go,but,would like to check to be sure.

Did you try calling them to see when they expect to ship it to you? Maybe it got lost in the shuffle and you need to reorder it. I'd give them a call if I were you if it's been awhile 0 -

Got my inspection tool in the mail today. Never did get the notice it shipped,but I'm o.k. with that since I got the tool. Checked our gun,it is GOOD to go.
