setting here cleaning a sportarized carcano. But it was part of a 23 gun collection and I need to sell it soooooo.

    my very first "deer" rifle was a 6.5 carcano. i was visiting a friend and was in the garage, the dad had about 10 of them that i was admiring and he took one down and gave it to me. found a butternut log on the mountain and and old friend of my dad carved me a new stock, i'm sure the wood was worth more than the rifle. carried it around with me for several years but being in the military with a wife and baby i sold it, we had to eat.

    I had a great uncle who was a some what wheeler dealer . always had one maybe two guns he had traded for
    I got a carcano rifle and bayonet from him 45 years or so ago . neither one of us knew much at the time about it he had a few rounds that came with it but they were the 6.5 not the 6.35 ( I think that was the size ) any way lucky for me it had the smaller ammo for the larger bore I fired it and no recoil just a lot of noise that's when I found what was wrong the bullet just bounced down the barrel :shock: :shock:
    found the right ammo at a local GS and also several years later that the folding bayonet was worth more than the rife by at least 2x so sold the bayonet years later on ebay and the rifle at a GS .
    I have one now that was given to me by a marine ( served in Vietnam ) . who had played in the yard with it as a kid . his dad took the bolt out and the kids played army with it for years .. it was for the most part a loss to say the least but I had time and I cut filed and cleaned cold blued and made a wall hanger out of it ( 40 years ago ) even found a bolt for it on ebay years later I had to do it :shock: so with a round chambered and a long string fired it off . its still hanging in my reloading catch all room . just a conversation piece

    Embrace a carbine with progressive gain twist rifling...

    And another classic 6.5 way ahead of the current band wagon many are jumping on.

    I have two and they are great guns - sporterized carbines with a forward mount long eye relief scout style scope make a handy dense woods and heavy brush deer rifle...

    Embrace the dark side - trade in that glock...
