No more Levi's for me -- any good choices out there?
My three pair of work Levi's need to be replaced after years of good service but the new company anti-gun policy means new jeans won't be Levi's.
I tried Wrangler years ago and don't like the fit and some of the other brands LOML has brought home haven't held up.
Anyone had good luck with another brand?

I''ve been a big fan, of Carharts for years. Very tough & durable. They literally last for years. Specially like, the heavy duty 7 pocket models. Enables me to carry a Gerber folder, extra 12 round Glock mag, EDC, (3) sets of keys & flashlight. Probably 5 lbs of stuff every day. Course have to use heavy duty suspenders. They also make them as shorts, that I wear in the summer. 0 -
I like to point to the little red label on mine and say "Kiss my Dickies."
I don't need heavy duty work pants, so for just knockaround jeans I get Costco. For better wear on "fishing pants" the Dickies are great.0 -
This was a hard change for me a few years back. I wore loses of Levi products over the years. They fit my odd shape better than other brands. But their politics, especially their anti second amendment stance caused me to move on......
For work clothes, including fishing and hiking, I wear Carhart jeans. Very durable and last longer than my Levi's ever did....for
"Church" jeans, I have settled on Wrangler and other store brand jeans. They fit different but are ok....0 -
I quit buying Levi when they passed the $50 mark for a pair of jeans. I watch the Old Navy ads and pick up 2 or 3 pairs when they are on sale for about $25 a pair. 0 -
what are these work pants you speak of??? I gave them up over a year and a half ago, retirement clothes now, hawain flowered shirt and whatever pants are handy, if I even remember to put any on.............. 0 -
Cinch and Ariat have become my favorite jean choice....both are offered in straight/boot cut, relaxed fit, and even a stretchy option 0 -
I would have never considered Mossimo, Old Navy, that sort of stuff but recently I ran across a pair of free Mossimo's and while they are much looser than I am accustomed to (this style anyway) they make good work pants and that's what I use them for.
had a pair of Vadim's and they fit exactly like Levi's. comparable quality too. probably from India or ....

there are some Japanese dudes that bought old equipment from the USA and they make very good quality jeans out of heavy material. forgot the name but if you want high quality jeans that bad you can find it. another manifestation of the Japanese subculture of American-o-philes, very dedicated and they like high quality vintage stuff. old jeans, old cars, etc we bitch about how the consumer goods we have to choose from nowadays are so cheap and disposable, the old vintage stuff is what they like and they can't get enough of it.
one example, maybe unrelated but it's still an example, I won a storage shed auction. after the sale discovered a 14 foot long t-shirt "oven" thing with a conveyor belt buried in the stuff. ??????? what am I going to do with this??????? sold it on fleabay for $400, turns out the winning bidder was in Japan. told him uh, shipping is going to cost a lot.... he said yep. I got a LTL freight quote of $2000 to ship the forker all the way to Japan. he said ok. I said okayyyy..... and he did it. paid $2400 for a $400 t-shirt machine. he knew what he was getting into. that's how much they want the stuff.0 -
LOML brought some home from Rural King -- I couldn't get my hands in the pockets. Took them back and lady looked at t hem and said, "Oops, they put ladies pockets on these!"
Plus I wasn't impressed with quality.

One general comment: Foreign made shirts & pants are sometimes dyed with caustic chemicals that will (literally) burn you. Be sure to wash anything from a beep hole country before wearing it.

If you like Levi's, you'll like Faded Glory that you can get at Walmart. All they are in my opinion are a knockoff of Levi's 505s and fit the same. I work construction and when I switched over from Levi's to them, I found they last just as long...
The only thing I can tell they, don't have is the stitching on the back pockets like levi's. And they only cost like $11 a pair0 -

You don't like them, but I wear Wrangler Authentics, and my them on Amazon. Less than have the Levi's price. and wear well for an old guy. Wrangler shirts too, along with Cinch. 0 -

I bought some of their "regular" jeans and the pockets are too small for use. I took them to Goodwill.
At this price its almost cheaper to throw them away when they get dirty.

I just bought a pair of 5.11 "Defender-Flex" tactical jeans. They were on sale for $30 (reg. $50) at my local 5.11 store. These are by far the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn and I have a lot of jeans. They aren't stretch jeans but have a little flexibility for walking, bending, sitting, riding a motorcycle, etc. I'm going back for a another pair or two. These are amazingly comfortable! 0 -

I've purchased multiple pairs of "Work Pants," through Sportsmansguide Surplus.
Swedish military workpants, etc. etc. (Heavy grayish/denim.) Inexpensive, and highly functional.
Your view may differ.
It's not about style, but funcionality, and price.
They are out there, if you choose not to look at top tier.0
