The critical threat is present on Lenovo PCs that have adware from a company called Superfish installed. As unsavory as many people find software that injects ads into Web pages, there's something much more nefarious about the Superfish package. It installs a self-signed root HTTPS certificate that can intercept encrypted traffic for every website a user visits. When a user visits an HTTPS site, the site certificate is signed and controlled by Superfish and falsely represents itself as the official website certificate.

not too long ago it was discovered that they put a teeny tiny spy microchip on a circuit board that goes in many, many servers. many of those servers were used by big companies like Amazon, Texas Instruments, and a bunch of other big players.
OOPS!
right now it's a big deal for us to get Wireless 5G rolled out before the Chicoms do, in terms of physical infrastructure and patents on the latest microchips, because if they beat us to it, it's guaranteed to be loaded with spy chips and the cell phone towers, satellites, etc. bugged. and that's no tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, that's our own government and Silicon Valley execs saying that.0
