    It is still a bit too early for a serious celebration- the neighbors don't come over until 7PM, but I have been eying the bar in anticipation of the holiday festivities.

    Bingo! I proudly fly the Stars and Stripes everyday. 3x5 flag, 30 foot flag pole, LED lighting.

    Not a bourbon drinker, but I do respect the holiday for those who are.

    For me, every day is a national BEER day! :lol:

    I raise my glass to all you bourbon folks, to our FLAG, and to President Trump on his birthday! (that makes 3 glasses of good BEER for me :D )

    I was never able to keep a wide selection of a single type. I?d buy a bottle and drink it. Then a bottle of another and drink it too. If I founded a brand that I liked way more than others that?d be the one I bought more than others. Then I?d keep a 1.75 of Jim Beam for times when my ?preferred? bourbon ran out or if I wanted to mix with coke.

    And my scotch... I?ve got an 18 year old Glenlivet for the first 2 glasses and a 1.75 of King George IV (paid $17 for it) for follow up drinks...

    We went out with daughter and family for a combined Mom/Dad Day dinner. I drove, so no drink there. Back at home, wife had a glass of Gentleman Jack and I had some Tullamore Dew because I don't care for bourbon, but do like whiskey.

    I know every one has different tastes, BUT I don't see how anyone can drink scotch or gin
    I was visiting a friend and he always had some good shine. this day he asked " want a drink" . this is special. I replied sure. so he poured me a drink. as usual I just downed it. not this time. it hit my mouth and out it came. I spit it on the ground and asked that the h377 is this crap.
    @ ass that is 30 year (magellan not sure what he called it) old scotch. I replied aint no wonder it tastes like sh--
    never was offered a drink again
