Tree House Airbnb

This place is 3 miles from my house, near Marshall NC.
This gal went to Manhattan for the weekend and she got me to feed the animals.
The goat feed is raw wheat, and barley. So, the dog is eating the goat food,'
the goats are eating the donkey food, and the donkey is saying, "What the hell?"

I didn't know dogs would eat raw wheat and barley, it is weird.


This gal has a nice 1905 farm house that she has restored, and that she lives in.
And she built a tree house to rent out on airbnb.

She hired a local carpenter to build this tree house and she did a lot of the work herself.
This is a well built structure. Looks like a place where hobbits, or gnomes would live.
It has electricity but no running water.
She rents it out for $57 a night and it is booked solid, she told me.

For the tree house there is a composting outhouse.

On the roof of the outhouse is a 30 gallon water tank, which sets out in the sun.
Next to the outhouse is the shower. She got a one gallon tin can and poked 20 holes in the
bottom with a screwdriver, this makes a hobbit-style shower head. If you look closely you can see a 1/2 inch copper pipe
going into the top of the can. Turn that white valve and water pours into the tin can,
you have an outdoor shower. I turned it on yesterday afternoon and that water was really hot.

    I thought for the US Open someone near my neck of the woods thought they could earn renting out Barbi playhouse :lol::lol::lol:. Like some folks in Pebble Beach turning their lawn in to a parking lot for this month's mortgage payment.

    Never used an Airbnb before. We have decided to try some this year while on our fair circuit. We are usually are so busy we just need a good clean bed and bath.

    The one here one is a bit too rustic for me and I am sure it would be for the wife.

    I was put off Airbnb when the American woman was killed in Costa Rica by the guy working at the Abnb where she was staying. We have been in Costa Rica 3 times, and it has to be about the safest country to travel in in Central America. I think he was a Honduran, which might help explain it.
