REMEMBER THE LIBERTY

June 8th, 1976, 34 American servicemen were murdered when Israel attacked the U.S.S. Liberty.

    I read the book, "Assault on the Liberty", written by an officer on the ship at the time of the attack, James Ennis, Jr. It is a good read to see how this blatant attack was covered up. However, you transposed two digits in the year as it took place in 1967, not 1976.

    Very sad and disgraceful story. I am a supporter of Israel but they screwed this one up badly. Obviously Liberty was finding out something Israel wanted secret. They murdered our sailors. With US built aircraft, and bombs.

    And the episode was covered up.

    Well, it's a cat and mouse game out there on the chessboard. Our military personnel paid with their lives.Like General Monty said we win the war,thereafter the politicians give it back.

    You're right. It was a typing error, I knew the year.

    Which brings up another matter. Now that we have a ship North Korea wants back I wonder if anyone has considered offering a trade. Remember the Pueblo.

    The attack on the USS Liberty by Israel lasted more than 10 hours!! Their intentions were to blame the attack/sinking on Egypt........a false flag to get the 'muricans behind a war with Egypt. The men on the Liberty were THREATENED with COURT MARSHAL if they ever breathed a word about the attack........it was until those old geezers were on their deathbed that they banded together and decided it was necessary to tell everyone the truth about what actually happened. So, needless to say, I have a real issue with "Stand with Israel".........somebody convince me otherwise.....not only did the Jews kill Christ....they tried to start another "holy war" with Egypt and drag good 'ol U S of A into it....I'm only 48....somebody...please enlighten me....

    Speaking of false flags. I suspect that Christ killer comment leads me to believe that may be your intent. In any case it was out of line.

    Not my intention to link the two incidents. My apologies if it was taken that way, and yes, maybe I am out of line for saying it. However, I am appalled that the Liberty attack was covered up for decades, and the families of the service men that were killed were lied to by their own government.

    Lord have mercy on those poor sailors and thier families.

    The legacy of the Liberty leaves a bad taste in the mouths of those who respect the truth.

    To think that the lie not only originated with our ally Israel. But was perpetutuated by our own government. Then coverd up and orderd suppressed to the survivors of the tragedy. The horror is beyound belief.

    Shame on Uncle Sam. Remember the Liberty.

    What was " Lincoln's Legacy?" To suspend Habeas Corpus, suspend States Rights, Impress Men in to Service, (unless you could afford to send a Man in your Stead.) Etc. Etc.

Who is the baddest dog on the porch has always been the game of spying and warfare for mankind? Evil is in every government. Funny how we spell that word evil and live and go look in the mirror.

    The flag was flying on our ship in international waters and to machine gun the ship, you know they knew what they were doing to who and what they were doing it too.

    For 10+ hours Israeli aircraft attacked the Liberty. 10 HOURS!! Supposedly, there is a recorded voice command by Lyndon B Johson saying he wanted the Liberty in the bottom of the ocean before Israel stopped its attack.......I'm sure he stood to make a lot of money from oil interests in Egypt or insider trading, had the Liberty sunk and a war with Egypt erupted.....
