had to google it. won't say what year but they did quote him:
Gatling wrote that he created it to reduce the size of armies and so reduce the number of deaths by combat and disease, and to show how futile war is.
ha. ha. ha. that turned out well. :?

Yep  For those that are interested it was invented in 1861 and patented in 1862.

I had a question about P08 vs P38 and got some great answers. Now which way do I point them? Does the skinny end point away from me? Bob

In general, does the pointy end of the bullet go towards the front, in the magazine ("Clip") or facing rearward?

    Does it really matter?

Let's just universally agree that we would all rather have an HK VP70 with detachable shoulder stock / holster board or the HK P7 Squeeze cocker over any glock pistol...

I know a guy, who knows a guy, who swears a 9mm is equal to a.45. He said he read that on the Internet, is this true?
this could be true,IF, all 13 rounds from the 9mm,hit the same place the ONE round from the .45 hit,,,having to shoot more than once is silly

An HK 21/23 for range day plinking and varmints out to 300 yds...

A pimped out HK MP7 in my truck console or bug out bag...

A 121 for turret ring or sunroof deployment when off roading or trail riding...

A UMP 40 to trade in my tired out MP5 on...

Or maybe upgrade to an MP5K Operational briefcase bit of kit...

    ...40mm grenade pistol???

...Beta C mag for ammo dumps???

Or maybe just this one gun...
