The Bearcat is a well made revolver whereas the wrangler as I understand is Ruger?s attempt to build a cheap revolver on the order of the Heritage guns. I must add that I have never held a Wrangler.

I might try one aluminum alloy frame weighs 30 oz. The Bearcat is smaller and weighs 24 oz. Fixed sights on a .22 revolver would be the problem.

Just got mine a few days ago. Wrangler is noticeably larger & heavier. Groove for rear sight is large enough that I don't have a problem aiming it even with the cataract in my right eye. Haven't shot it yet but I don't like the loading gate. Way too stiff & sharp. Hurts my thumb.

Bearcat frame somewhat resembles a Remington 1875/1890 while the Single Six and Wrangler resemble a Colt Single Action Army. The original Bearcat was really tiny and wish Ruger still made them like those.

I always say I'm not much of a Ruger fan till I look in my gun safe:

    Mini-14
    10/22
    Security Six

Oh and I'm pocket carrying a LC9S Pro.

I had a chance 3 days ago to shoot a wrangler or 3. While I will agree that the single six is a better gun and the the load gate is stiff and sharp edges I would and will buy one over a heritage any day is the week.
