Self defense-something to think about

Two criminals apparently tried to rob a guy at a store. It?s a little hard to decipher, but it looks like both sides started to blast away. You never get the whole story in these reports.
The bad guys were charged with, among other charges, with shooting into a vehicle, damage of property, etc.
It doesn?t say anything about the victim being charged. I hope not.

The criminals don?t worry about where their bullets go, victim should.

    When I was teaching a women's home self defense class, I always told them this:
    If it comes to the point you feel you must shoot...empty the gun at them or until he's
    on the floor.
    A perp with just one bullet in him may be able to get to you and grab your gun.
    Then you are dead from your own bullets.

    In anti-tank warfare, we were taught "Shoot until target changes shape or catches fire."


    In most cases, pretty good advice.

    That's why I always say, if you are going to carry, keep the gun on your person. You never know when you will need it.

    I also say: once you are convicted of a crime that would make you a felon if you were old enough, you lose your right to have your identity hidden by the press because of your tender age.

    Saw a sign today with a picture of a senior citizen on it saying...." I'm too young to die and too old for an ass whupping so I'm just going to shoot " .....being as how I can relate, thats my kind of philosophy :lol:
