My wife thinks it helps her a lot but it's probably as much placebo effect as anything. 0 -
I tried the liquid form for my migraines about 3 years ago, but it didn?t help. I did notice while I was taking it that my knee & ankle joint pain was reduced a bit. Some people I know swear by it but I was not impressed. 0 -
I feel like the pot heads are over selling it- sort of a modern snake oil. Maybe it works, who am I to say- but they damn sure think its a cure-all. 0 -
I know a couple people that take it, and got them away from opiates entirely. Made me a believer, and says a lot for it, knowing the issues they've had with pain over the years. 0 -

Whether or not it's a placebo doesn't really as others have said, just as long as it's doing its job0 -
I don't use the oil , but I do use the 125 mg gummies
they do help me with my knee pain . I havn't taken a pain pill since I started using the gummies0 -
I am a believer. I think it matters what kind you buy. I have been using this stuff and it does work.

I recently spoke with the leaders of the "Hemp Growers Association" during one of their "organizational meetings" that just happened to be next door to our Federal agency's meeting room. Made the Hemp dudes a bit self conscious but didn't faze their sales pitch. They even offered me a kickback for finding them some "wild growing" weed to add some "hybrid vigor" to their plant genetics.
The deal is a giant scam similar to the emu/ostrich meat pyramid scheme of the 80's & 90's. The only people making money will be the ones on top of the pyramid.0 -
I don't know how reliable National Review is, but they reported a story about a 69 Y/O woman who was arrested in FL at Walt Disney World when she was found in possession of a bottle of CBD oil. Apparently it is illegal in FL.
I don't know what instructions TSA agents have, but I would not fly with it. Even if no charges are filed, an arrest could keep you from legally possessing firearms.
You probably won't get scientific research for the near future, as possession of marijuana by anyone, including researchers, is still illegal under federal law. A local woman I know paid $40 for a bottle of CBD oil, but it did not help her medical problem. We have several local Pot Docs, who have pamphlets explaining what type of marijuana extracts are helpful for which medical conditions. I hear that those with chemo nausea & certain types of glaucoma benefit from it, but, for now, you are on your own when experimenting.

Clinically it has been shown to reduce pain, seizures and have other beneficial effects. Almost none of the over the counter product is genuine, and contains no beneficial ingredients, or so I read. Never tried it. 0 -

CBD oil- good for colds, moles, and sore butt holes. 0 -
Yep,....99.9% is just hemp oil from seeds. If you want to make salad dressing, or try a new moisturizer, it's probably fine. All the garbage for sale online, or at drug stores is hemp oil from the seeds as far as I have been able to find out. If it creates a placebo effect for you, that's good, but that's most likely all it is.He Dog wrote:Clinically it has been shown to reduce pain, seizures and have other beneficial effects. Don't have to be a "Pot Head" to use CBD oil. CBD oil (the kind that works) comes from the Marijuana plant and not the "Hemp" variety and is thusly more expensive and handled primarily by licensed medical marijuana dispensaries.
Medical CBD contains THC, that products sold by over the counter tobacco shops and health stores do not, lest they be required by law to be licensed by the governing authority to dispense products containing THC.
The THC content (no matter how small) in medical CBD oil is what makes it work best on pain, joints, arthritis etc. Medical CBD oil is the ONLY CBD oil with a known standardized and guaranteed THC content, all the other stuff is a huge mystery as far as what's in it is concerned.0 -

+1. Have you seen the prices of some of that stuff? Can of cream about the size of a can of Kiwi shoe polish for $130.0 -
I have heard, after talking to multiple people with the same sleep issues that I have, using BDC oils - that this works wonders for the problem. (In their cases.)
I am desperate to find a solution to getting more than 3-5 hours sleep a night, with sleep medication.
I am willing to give it a try.
I do know, back when I smoked, I slept like a Baby.0 -

There were two gals arrested at Disney World for possession of CBD oil. They interviewed one of them a 68 year old grandma.
This was on NBC nightly news. They didn't say where they got busted but, I suspect it was at Orlando airport by TSA.
As someone said, it might be legal all around, in Colorado, but these two gals are in some legal trouble. Don't fly with this stuff.0 -

Regardless of legalization by individual states, Marijuana remains illegal by Federal law.0 -

Even though Marijuana may be legalized by individual states, it remains illegal under Federal law everywhere.0 -

Even after individual states legalize marijuana for medical use or recreational use, it's still illegal under Federal law.0 -
My recently departed brother was using CBD oil to aid him during his post chemo infusions. He was getting it from a licensed State dispensary. We all had high hopes that the stuff would work its magic and early on during the fall and winter months of last year, he seemed to be maintaining his appetite and actually regained a few of the many lost pounds of body weight.
Then, all of a sudden with the latest chemo infusion he had about a month prior to his death (two weeks ago), he could absolutely hold nothing down. The CBD was no longer effective and he opted to skip further treatments and went on hospice.0 -

Sorry to hear about your Brother.
I would ask the same, if I were him.
Condolences Sir. Very Sorry for your loss Brother.0 -

I too can relate to losing a brother way before his time. That said, I had to laugh at your choice of words 'high hopes'.
I hope you don't think that is insensitive but for me at least, making light of it helps. For instance, my late brother was, well, late for everything. We used to joke that he would be late for his own funeral. Well, he actually was... The crematorium wrote the wrong time and the ashes were delivered a half hour late during the service.0 -
I have had severe and chronic back issues since ~1994. Countless surgeries, and literally trying everything I could find, even have done FDA trials without any mentionable improvement. Due to the new *#^%@(&#@) mandated opiate laws, my pain management doctor suggested I try some. He gave me a list of ones that are certified THC free since he drug tests me every month. I have to fail the opiates one, and pass the illicit drug screens. So, I tried it for 3 months. I can't say I noticed much change in my pain, but I did feel I slept slightly better. Medical Mari-J is legal here in OK, but since it is still illegal federally, and I like my firearms, I won't try it. My brother used to swear by it, but I always figured it was just his excuse. I don't know. I do know that I wish those that make the laws regarding opiates, or really any pain management drugs, could experience a month in my shoes. I guarantee they wouldn't have mandated these law changes. Like so many gun laws, these new laws are because of some people abusing it. So, they punish those of us who use it like we are supposed to. Now, I am on the lowest dosages I have been on in 20+ years and I am still above the mandated limit. I sincerely think if they drop me any further that I won't be able to work. 0
