I love the Vipers too. First generation is my favorite. Ankle burning pipes and all!
I was selling some tables once and a guy with a bright red ?93 stopped to ask how much. I told him if he gave me a 30 minute joyride he could have them all for free. I did not get a ride

"it was a lemon law car so was returned to dealer on the title doesnt affect how it runs or drives so if that bothers u then move on"
Sounds like a real deal...for the seller that is.0 -

Well it's been 20 some odd years depending on whether or not it had a 5 year 50000 or 12 month 12000 mile warranty. Being a high-performance vehicle, I would bet it only had a 12-month 12000 mile warranty, and when it was brought in on that warranty as a lemon. But it's been 20 some odd years in any case
I'm sure all the bugs have been worked out of it in the last 20 some odd years, plus he's about $10,000 cheaper The any 93 Viper with equivalent mileage that I seen on the internet, which would reflect a not-so-perfect title.. So it sounds like it's an okay price for the vehicle to me. Just my opinion,0 -
That is fairly cheap.
BUT "non-AC".....good heater"
NO AC !!! you're nuts!!!
And any sports car with the side pipes on one side of you and the tranny/engine on the other side of you don't need s a heater!!! :shock:0 -

I guess you wouldn't appreciate a car like a 93 Viper. They weren't made for comfort, they were made for speed.0 -

Apparently this one wasn't made for speed since it's admittedly been a lemon since day one  ......probably a bad flux capacitor from a DeLorean installed at the factory

Actually just because it was taken back as a lemon 20 some-odd odd years ago doesn't mean it's still a lemon otherwise it probably wouldn't be running at all. Back in the early 90s Dodge took back quite a bit of their cars as lemons, but they always figured out why each particular vehicle was a lemon and fix the problem before they sold it back to the public
Oh by the way, Dodge didn't even put ac's in them until 96. It was built totally for race0 -
It might be a blast to buy it and keep in the garage until the appropriate project rolled along and drop the Viper running gear into something like an old Barracuda or Dodge Dart.
Im probably just kicking tires though!0 -

Well, You guessed wrong.
After 21 years of PROFESSIONAL auto racing, and 8 years of specializing in high performance Datsun 240z, 260z, 280z's street cars.
I know speed.
And the fastest production supercars made today ALL have AC.0 -
If you knew what I know (I did a rotation through 'Connor Rd' (the Viper and Prowler plant) you'd avoid that like the plague.
Remember, it's a V10. Doubtful you'll be swapping it into anything other than another Viper or a Ram Truck.
The good news about the Viper engine: it was hand assembled by a very small, very dedicated team of women. Their assembly area was spotless. (yet it was within (and not isolated) one of the filthiest engine plants I've ever been in) The Truck engine was mass produced in the same plant. Truck engine = iron. Viper = alloy.0 -
Thanks for the pro tip!
Really Im saving my pennies for the new Jeep Gladiator truck- which is probably a purchase next spring.
