So is the beloved NRA going to step in and condemn this Jerk? Maybe recall election?

Better get on the phone and emails and get the NRA representing you.

'Northam said he would seek universal background checks, bans on assault weapons and suppressors, extreme-risk protective orders, child access prevention and other restrictions.'

I am having difficulty in seeing which of these measures would have prevented the shootings in VA Beach.

I guess it is a legitimate question as to whether the suppressor made it more difficult for the police to locate the shooter, though I did not get that impression from any of the news articles. They seemed to know which floor he was on at all times.

This is not going away. It would be nice if we can come up with a liberty-respecting method to stop mass shootings. Nibbling on the edges of freedom where there is no clear and obvious gain is not one of them.

Can't let a crisis go to waste....not a single new piece of legislation will have stopped this shooting. Dems keep saying we need new laws, when what they mean is "we need to take all guns"...because if possible, that would be the only way to stop mass shootings. Which of course is not possible, but they ware going to ride this horse for all it's worth. Retirement can't come soon enough. It's a win-win for them...they want to put republicans on the spot, in this emotional time and use this in 2020 if they don't succeed now. Some bitch ass Tidewater Republicans will cave too, all they need is a couple.

My family has been in VA since Jamestown, and I love the state dearly. Always hoped to retire back to Southwest VA when I am done with the Coast Guard. The way the state is headed, however, I?m not sure that the Northern VA and Hampton Roads liberals will be held off forever. I hate to say it, but I may have to start considering alternative places to settle. :(

Governor Coonman is a lame duck. The state senate will block him. The Virginia Citizens Defense League is very persuasive in Richmond.

Governor Coonman wants to kill babies after birth if something is ?wrong? with them.
?...So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen," Northam, a pediatric neurosurgeon, told Washington radio station WTOP. "The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother."

When I retire we are likely leaving SW VA and heading to TN. But who knows how TN will be by then. Leftism is cancer and is spreading faster than the cure of liberty can keep up.

In the near term perhaps, but with all of the seats up in 2020 a future majority for Republicans is not a slam dunk. Not too mention the pressure that will be on all Republicans in Tidewater to support gun control.

Trumpy said he didn't like silencers when he was in England.

I think we may be a few mass shootings away from some real restrictive gun laws, DJT is not a gun friendly gun he is not going to do anything until he is re-elected though.
