gotta do a little braggin..........

before I get one to many in me, just got done golfing and had my first hole in one, 119yd , 9 iron. looked all over the back of the green I saw it bounce once then lost it, after almost giving up happened to look in the hole, there it was!!! I know its early but its beer thirty now, mama won't be happy when she gets home, but I've been in the doghouse before........

    Jim bad thing is I usually play by myself and I knew one day it would happen and nobody would be there to see it, just happened to have fellow behind me and we paired up to play the last few holes he was from topsail beach, NC down ricci's way. we had been talking about camp lejuene as he saw my hat and ask if I was an x-marine. he bought me 2 beers at the clubhouse and I hated to but had to leave, I learned my lesson years ago on drinking and driving, and with all the blood thinners I am on now 4-6 does me in. but he was my witness and a hell of a nice guy on top of that..........

    I had my one and only ace in 2008 in Weatherford TX. It was me and a guy I hardly knew at all, 140yd par 3 with a 7 iron.
    Clean hit over the water right at the pin, a couple bounces and right in the jar- it was clear from the teebox!
    This guy owned an art gallery and he had an apartment in downtown Ft. Worth which is how I knew him and a big house in Weatherford on this golf course. Well the hole I had my ace on, happened to be the hole you could see perfectly from his back yard. He asked if he could hang onto the score card and he would get it framed for me (he owned an art gallery). I said sure- really wish I had that scorecard today as he and I lost touch very shortly after this happened. Matter of fact it may have been the last time I ever spent any time with him.

    I do still have that same 7 iron...

    CONGRATS, yes it does happen. You can golf your whole life and never get the bounce and then BANG, there it is.
