Tenants AC up and going

Never had this happen to a unit. Capacitor was good.. board was good.. fan was good, just shut off and would not run. No overflow on drip pan .

  I worked on one that did sort of like that.Turned out the condenser fan would get hot and lock up and the compressor safety would kick the compressor off.The fan would cool down and start working until it heated up.

  Well it had a leak. No freon. Found it on the big line to the compressor. About an inch from going into it. Soldered the pin hole and evacuated the system, filled it back up..
