?The president of Plaid Pantry told KOIN 6 News the stores have a zero tolerance for weapons and the clerk is no longer employed there. He said employees are trained to de-escalate robbery situations to avoid injury. ?

What a chitbird.
0 tolerance is a libtard term.0 -
It's hard to de-escalate a hatchet sunk into your head, too.
That company president ought to be forced to hold midnight shifts for a year. And publish that he's unarmed. Let him de-escalate all he wants.0 -
Someone should offer that clerk a job!!!!!

Looks like a real zero place to want to work...
Imagine "0" boss.0 -
We (those of us who work hard jobs on the production line,) were and have been saying that for the last couple weeks.
Management, (AKA) those who sit in an air conditioned office on swivel chairs, all day. Have been out on the production line for the last several days, busting our balls.
I would like to see any of those pukes, doing our job for one full shift.
They would never make it. (For one full day, much less day after day after day.)
Upper management has NO CLUE, what the working Man/Woman goes through day to day. (For A LOT less than what they make.) [AND] We should Respect them? Laughable.0 -
Don't bring a hatchet to a gun fight. 0 -
Well at least the clerk will be able to go look for work after being fired for protecting him/herself instead of being chopped up in little pieces.
And as far as being trained in de-escalating the situation, sounds like the clerk did a fantastic job doing it. The robber put down the hatchet and took off running. What better outcome of de-escalating the situation is that0 -

As said before, the Head Cheese Honcho, needs to spend anout a year in a Violent crime neighborhood, de-escalating the situation. A dose of reality, goes a long ways.
Doubt he would make it more than a couple shifts.0 -

Looks like the clerk did just that.
Clerks boss is a typical Portland DEMOCRAT. He is to stupid to realize he's telling criminals his stores are soft targets.0
