I'm the cool professor.
Got an email from student asking why he got an F in my class when he had enough points for a B. I had no idea what happened. I must have had a brain burp and clicked the wrong box or something. So I changed his grade. He was very close to an A so I gave it to him as compensation for messing up the grade entry.

If he contacts you to let you know it?s still wrong, change it to A+.

I would imagine a number of professors wouldn't even take the time to check if questioned.
I know many are just too damn arrogant. Not all, but many.

Actual story.. student couldn't read the grades cause Dr. Professor writes so you cannot read it. Seems the smarter one gets the worse they write. Student couldn't tell if it was an A or a F just like a pharmacy prescription. My Dr. Wife gets all upset when I ask her what she wrote. 0 -
I really had some good college professors- the guys teaching things they cared about, in turn cared for their students.
