This is a very cool nice looking rifle.

I remember reading that the IJA bought a bunch of Carcano's from Fascist Italy.

Fred Wells did a great job on this gun IMO its very clean looking and the stock is beautiful.

The only change I would want is double set triggers

  Heartily agree. Nicely figured without being over the top. And the checkering is nicely done. Maybe it's me being anal, but can't stand seeing well cut checkering that's been mullered (border cut).

  Certainly a pretty rifle.
  I'm partial to a full Mannlicher stock and love the butter knife bolt.
  I hunt with a Steyr Model 72 30-06 with a full Mannlicher stock.
  Looks like top quality stock work!
  I dont know anything about the caliber, but the gun is sure pretty!
  You have excellent taste.
