Rocky Bird
Rocky Bird, aka Rock, and Rocket, was born in or near Anchorage, Alaska, quite possibly before 1993, died on 19 May 2019 at 10:12 AM in his home in Kent, Washington, surrounded by his family...Choo Bird, his Mom, Chur Bird, his Dad, and Joe Bird, his older brother. The last five to ten minutes of his life he was being held gently in the palms of Chur Bird's hands as he was belly down, little legs folded back, with head up and facing his family. Shortly before he passed away he bent his tail feathers skyward and spread them wide and fanlike for a moment, then slowly folded them back up and lowered his tail. Just after his last heartbeat, he lowered his head ever so slowly until it came to rest slightly on its left side in a peaceful pose. His little eyes were already beginning to close as his spirit was preparing to leave his earthly remains. No more pain, only peace, and a better world.
I wish each of you could have known Rocky Bird, he would have truly enjoyed that.
Your kind thoughts and prayers during this most sorrowful time will be greatly and forever appreciated.
