    I have gone thru ( rebuild ) many a holly back in younger years . sometimes with all the wear your doing the right thing buy a new one and bolt it on and go.
    I also had few old 390 and 428 fords back in the stone ages . still have a couple big block chevys 8-) )

    your shop reminds me of mine with one exception I could not get a truck or car in mine right now :oops: :oops: :oops: .

    Mac, it stops once you get going on the highway but this old girl has so many squeaks and rattles I don?t even notice it :D

    I have a few projects going on, there is 3 vehicles in there right now, the Chevelle is tucked in the corner on the other side of the F250. Then with the 2 riding mowers over there and all the other junk real estate is hard to get in there.

    That 302 is still on the stand, saving pennies for a crank kit to turn it into a 347. I have a lift kit to put on this truck but I want to do it all at once. Engine swap and lift at the same time. Hopefully next year she is sporting a set of 36? Swampers and a new powerplant!

    That F250, turns out the block is garbage. It was a gamble buying it with a siezed engine, sometimes you get lucky and can free them with no damage. It was advertised as parked for a year, well if you saw the inside of that motor you would think it was filled with saltwater before parking it. The rust is so bad that the cam is siezed in it, crank won?t budge, valves stuck open and there is chunks missing out of 2 cylinders from rust. It sat longer than a year!! Mabco will sell me a reman shortblock for $1050, then a basic Performer RPM top end and she should run fine. Not hotrodding it, just some minor upgrades to overcome the emissions crap, will still be a 400 just improved and setup as a daily driver.
