What's Cooking? -
Thawing a six pack of very nice 1" thick, bone in Pork Chops.
Will be baked on a large heavy (industrial grade,) aluminum pan/baking sheet, flipped a couple times. Soy sauce/Worchestershire sauce, salt/pepper, Badia Complete Seasoning, some green pepper dust, (from Gunnut505.) Thanks Brother, miss you.
Seperately but in the same oven, two large packages/boxes of Betty Crocker Deluxe Scalloped potatoes, with bacon. Half and half instead of milk, butter, olive oil. Salt/pepper, baked in a Pyrex baking dish. A fair amount of fresh sharp shredded cheddar topping it for the last 10-15 minutes.
A fresh rough diced/chopped Cauliflower with cheese sauce. Fresh shredded sharp cheddar over all, last 10-15 minutes. (Baked of course, same oven.)
A nice side salad to accompany.

My buddy stopped by with 2# of NC 16-20 shrimp right off the boat last night, he got them at topsail Beach.
I got some Conacuh sausage so tonight its a Shrimp boil.
Picked up some corn and some cute little taters all different colors, got an onion and some Zaterans Shrimp and crawfish boil. Got 2 nice Lemons and some homemade cocktail sauce.
Toss in a PBR and its off to the races!

Have flipped the pork chops about 3 times now. Scalloped potatoes, ended up being cooked in a very large cast iron skillet to get that browned effect on the bottom/sides. Added chopped/fine diced onions to them, at the outset.
